The Flavor Apprentice (TFA) is a leading producer of water-soluble flavourings.

Vanilla Custard delivers classic dessert richness: real vanilla over a creamy, eggy custard with buttery weight—ideal as a base for ice creams, pies, cheesecakes and cream-plus-RY4 builds.

Use: Concentrate that must be diluted. TFA flavours are water-soluble and PG-carried; some may contain traces of ethanol. Note: We purchase in bulk and re-bottle into smaller bottles (not the original packaging).

FAQ

How does it differ from French Vanilla/French Vanilla Deluxe?
Vanilla Custard is richer/heavier with a dessert body. French Vanilla is lighter/cleaner; Deluxe is creamier and less eggy.

Too sweet/heavy?
Lower the %, blend in Vanilla Swirl and add a touch of acidity (0.1–0.3% Sour).

Does it need a long rest?
Yes—10–21 days brings rounder vanilla and smoother edges.

Fruit friendly?
Excellent with strawberry/blueberry/stone fruits—let the custard carry the mix.

PG-carried and re-bottled?
Yes—water-soluble, PG-carried concentrate to dilute in base; we buy in bulk and re-bottle.
