The Flavor Apprentice (TFA) is a leading producer of water-soluble flavourings.
DX Jamaican Rum brings a clean dark-rum character: molasses and burnt sugar, gentle oak/vanilla and a spiced boozy lift that shines in colas, tropicals and desserts. The DX line is formulated without added diketones (DA/AP) for a less buttery, cleaner finish. Use: Concentrate that must be diluted. TFA flavours are water-soluble and PG-carried; some may contain traces of ethanol. Note: We purchase in bulk and re-bottle into smaller sizes (not the original packaging).

Tips for this flavour

- Rum & cola: layer with Cola Soda/Dr Pop, a squeeze of lime and 0.25–0.5% sweetener.
- Tropical builds: pineapple, coconut, mango and lime for rum-punch/piña colada vibes.
- Desserts: pair with custards/vanillas, caramel/RY4, raisins and crumb bases (Graham/Pie Crust).
- Tame boozy edge: reduce %, smooth with 0.25–0.5% marshmallow/vanilla and allow a short rest.
- Steeping: 5–10 days—rum, sugars and spice meld and soften.
